WriteOn Sports - After School Programming
WOS was founded by Byron Yake, a former sports writer in Pittsburgh for the Associated Press and later Sports Editor of the AP. Inspiration for the project arose from Yake’s interest in journalism, sports writing and education and his desire to help students improve their writing skills. Full scholarships are provided to all students to make the program available to the underserved and disadvantaged. http://www.writeonsports.org/

The Passaic River Institute (PRI) conducts environmental research and runs educational programs to help find solutions for environmental problems, focusing on the Passaic River, its tributaries and surrounding watershed lands.

Newark-Montclair Urban Teaching Residency Program

The Newark-Montclair Urban Teacher Residency Program (NMUTR) is an innovative apprenticeship-based program of study for individuals with a deep commitment to urban teaching. This Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program has two tracks: P-3/K-5 certification with dual certification in Teacher of Students with Disabilities; and secondary, content area certification in mathematics or science.
